Sometimes things just happen with no reason at all, no warning or heads up. They just happen and all we can do is accept them and deal with it. A long time ago, when I came to live in the Mexican Caribbean I was set on enjoying all of the wonderful and “exotic” pleasures that paradise has to offer, be it traveling throughout the Yucatan Peninsula and all of its wonderful and mystic sites full of history, culture and breathtaking scenery or just treating myself to some of the world’s best cuisine product of the amazing cultural blend that the region has developed throughout the last twenty years.
Yes, I was set on that and even got a really good start. I traveled, ate and drank just as I had dreamed my new life in Playa del Carmen would be. Then all of a sudden, on a Tuesday afternoon, and with the encouragement of my friends I was convinced to start exercising and try to get fit. Not an easy task if it is not something you are used to. But, as I told you, I was convinced and so took the proper steps towards losing some weight and improving my endurance and stamina. I got my self into a gym and started with a trainer. As I told you at the very beginning, this wasn’t planned, never thought I would be taking this path but now here I am. And so grateful for it.
A few months later I’ve moved into Crossfit which I believe is more in tune with my lifestyle and expectations. It pushes me to do what I thought to be impossible and more!
Anyways, what I want to convey is that living here offers everyone a little bit of everything, and if what makes you tick is getting fit and doing some serious exercise, then I can assure you that you will undoubtedly find it here. Mix it with some good nutrition and you are investing in what I believe to be your biggest asset: Your health.
Believe me, I’ve been helping people make investments almost all of my career, and this one is a sure thing.
Well, it’s time to go to the gym and crunch some quality me time. I hope to hear from you soon, drop me a line and tell me what you like to do sportswise and I can tell you what the Riviera Maya has to offer. In the meanwhile, have a great day.
